Research summary

In my research I am using multiple approaches to increase resistance durability in lettuce. These approaches include identification of Bremia lactucae avirulence effectors in order to better inform the generation and deployment of resistance gene stacks, identification and transfer of genes conferring non-host resistance into susceptible backgrounds, and utilization of quantitative resistance in breeding pipelines.
