Search the database

This tool allows for a search of chimeras in the database based on the clone name or the phenotypes that they exhibit in yeast and/or in planta.

  1. Select a set of chimeras by clone name or phenotype:
    1. In the "Clone_ID" option, you can view the yeast and in planta phenotypes of a specific chimera. Type the clone ID in the box (e.g. "clone257"). Otherwise, leave it blank and continue with the next option.
    2. Choose a subset of chimeras based on their phenotypes in yeast. "EV" is the phenotype of the chimera with empty vector pACT2. "AvrPto" and "AvrPtoB" are the interactions of the chimeras in yeast with AvrPto and AvrPtoB, respectively. "1" in these cells indicates an interaction and "0" indicates no interaction. In the case of "EV", a "1" indicates autoactivation and a "0" the absence of autoactivation. All these phenotypes were tested at 22 and 28oC, resulting in six phenotype options.
    3. Choose a subset of chimeras based on their phenotypes in planta. The options for these cells are 0 - 4, with 0 being no HR and 4 being confluent HR. The HR was scored in plants expressing AvrPto under the DEX-inducible promoter. The "plant_no_DEX" option indicates the presence of HR without AvrPto, whereas the "plant_with_DEX" option indicates the presence of HR when the chimera was co-expressed with AvrPto. Since the phenotype was scored for intensity, it is possible to use ">" and "<" in this option (e.g. >3 for the HR_with_DEX option).
  2. Click on the "Submit query" button.

A new page will appear with the selected sequences and their respective phenotypes in a table. A "-1" value in the cell indicates missing data.
