Research Topic Comparative Genomics of Tropical and Temperate Downy Mildews
Research Summary Currently my main interest lies in how oomycetes have adapted to biotrophy. I hope that, through studying multiple genomes of Downy Mildews, to be able to infer specific gene losses which are key to this life history adaptation.
I am also interested in the origins of the Downy Mildews and pursue this line of enquiry through phylogenetic analysis of key predicted genes retained between these organisms.
