Research Topic Molecular marker development and their application in vegetable crops breeding (lettuce and chicory). Bioinformatics.
Research Summary Project leader in molecular assisted breeding in a seed company since 1999, I joined the Michelmore lab in 2011 as visiting scholar to contribute to their research programs in lettuce by:
- Developing molecular markers for new Dm genes by BSAseq approach.
- Mapping QTL of domestication traits using SSCP markers.
- Construction of repeat databases to aid in the identification and classification of the tranposable elements.
